JUNE CAMP CLASSES

HIKING AND PHOTOGRAPHY IMMERSION WITH CINDY AND TANIA*

Cindy will teach some basic rules of photography as well as ways to use your camera on your phone to take great pictures. We will discuss lighting, getting to know your camera and different apps available for taking and editing photos. Then we will practice using our new skills while Tania leads us on a hike while discussing the native and medicinal plants and fungi.  Participants will drive about 5 miles to Maramec Spring Park, where you will visit a beautiful turquoise spring, Missouri's fifth largest.  The park features both paved and unpaved trails, a historic drive, two museums, a café, a campground, and a trout hatchery.  Not only will you learn how to take advantage of all the features the camera on your phone has to offer, but you will be learning about the very photographic plants, fungi, springs and caves of the ancient mountains in the upper Ozarks.

Please note, there is a $5 per car fee at the park entrance.  Transportation is not provided but guests may caravan with staff to the park.

* This is a two-hour workshop.

RESTORATIVE YOGA WITH JAIME

Create time and space for deeper listening, intuitive movement, self-care, and unwinding patterns of tension so that you can navigate the busy pace of modern life from a place of calm and clarity.  From the Iyengar yoga tradition, Restorative classes literally bring the floor to you, with each pose fully supported on blankets, bolsters, blocks, or chairs, or a combination of all props. Each class will spend long holds in well-supported poses, visiting 4–5 poses during the class. This class is suitable for all levels of experience.

MIDSUMMER FLOWER CROWNS WITH ABI

Learn how to make gorgeous floral headpieces to wear during our Midsummer Fete on Saturday night.  Abi will have all your basic supplies: floral tape, wire, greenery, flowers and ribbons.

EXPRESSIVE ARTS WITH HELENA

An invitation to move, create, share and participate in a community art process.  Using movement, art, writing, poetry, theatre games and music, we will explore a chosen theme, tell our story, and honor the creative spirit in each of us.  No need to have any experience.  Helena will take you through a process anyone can do.

DHARMA YOGA WITH PAM

Our collective Dharma as humans is to love, be loved, express love, share love. This starts from within and so in this class we will take steps that will enhance this falling in love with ourselves. Learn how your thoughts, feelings, and actions all influence the inner love and knowing you have for yourself. We will peel off the mask you’ve been wearing and shake loose the conditioning of the world to reveal the true, authentic you inside.

When we are expressing our inner Dharma with love, our outer Dharma in the world will become more clear and your Path forward will beckon you. This is your time. Your time to shine!

DEATH AND GRIEF SALON WITH AMANI

Amani is a hospice volunteer, death companion, clown, and corporate executive, bringing heart and vulnerability to as much of life as she can. Join her for a frank and open conversation about death and what it means for you. This is an open forum for discussing death and how it has impacted us, and also of course your grief will come with you. It's woven into the tapestry of our daily lives, and our modern culture doesn't leave much room to discuss death and its effect on us, even though it's the one sure thing we all have in common.

Bring your heart, your stories, and your kleenex.

Let's go be in this world in the beautiful woods and talk about our shadows. We may end up befriending them!

SUNRISE  MEDITATION AND YOGA WITH ROSE C

Settle in to Camp life with sacred morning practice as we greet each day with intention and presence!

Guided meditation starts our day with stillness and breath, connecting to the Ether, and aligning with the Universe. Beginning the day in embodied silence creates a beautiful foundation for Camp adventures!

Friday's yoga practice welcomes us to camp through gentle movement, soft stretching, and reflection. Honor the sacred land of Mound Ridge as you commune with your body, the energy of Camp, and your fellow Wildlings!

Saturday's practice spices things up, calling in the elements of Fire and Air to energize our flow. Targeted breathwork and layers of intensity warm the muscles, with plenty of options if you need to cool things down.

Sunday's asana brings us back to Earth, grounding our practice, and inviting in the energy of Water. Explore fluidity and surrender as we open the hips and heart with smooth, intuitive movement. Come home to yourself, deeply rooted in the body, celebrating our magical weekend experience of authenticity and unity.

Attend meditation, movement, or both! Morning practice welcomes every body, no prior yoga or meditation experience necessary. Join us as you feel called!
